About image quality

Print

For the best high quality images it is best to work with a professional photographer or purchase quality stock from a stock image website. Sometimes, however, you need to know how to judge an image you have created or found. Is it good enough for printing? Is it good enough for use in a video or on a web page?

Photography

Most people seem to have a digital camera these days, but that doesn't mean we are all capable of taking print-ready photos. Even a 10 megapixel camera may not always take a good photos. There are myriad variables that affect this including:

  • The lens of the camera
  • Lighting and use of flash
  • Movement of subject
  • Distance from subject
  • The megapixel/quality settings of the camera
